Born in 1966 in Matsumoto City, Nagano Prefecture. In 1989, while studying in Mexico, Nakano met guitar maker Lucio Nuños in San Miguel, which inspired him to pursue guitar making. After that, he apprenticed under Eiji Ishii starting in 1992. In 1996, Nakano moved to Spain to study under Antonio Marin in Granada. Upon returning to Japan, he opened his own workshop in Matsumoto. He began crafting guitars using traditional Granada techniques, and later, he traveled again to Europe to attend a master class with José Luis Romaniños. During this time, he became influenced by Torres’ designs, which led him to create high-precision Torres models that have earned him high acclaim.

Jun Nakano 1995 Model No.15 (Used)
This is an early work by Jun Nakano, crafted in 1995, and it bears the label "Jun Nakano." However, it was originally shipped from Eiji Ishii's workshop, where Nakano worked at the time.

The top is finished with a shellac coating, and there are noticeable signs of playing, such as pick marks, scratches, and dings around the fingerboard edges, high side of the soundhole, under the bridge, and extending toward the bottom. The back and sides are finished with polyurethane, and there are some marks from clothing friction, which are typical for its age. The neck has a slight forward bow, but it is within standard settings, and the frets are still in good condition. There are no significant repairs, cracks, or modifications to the guitar.
