[Profile]
Born in Florence, Italy in 1956, Andrea Tacchi is one of the leading contemporary Italian makers.
He was exposed to a wide variety of craftsmen in this historic city, and from an early age he became skilled in the crafting arts. He built his first guitar at the age of 15, and after an encounter with Argentine guitar maker Ricardo Brané, Andrea Tacchi decided to make guitar making his profession. However, Brané passed away at a young age, and Tacchi, having lost his mentor, began his own search for a way to make guitars. First, he received valuable advice, discussions, and insights about making guitars from the very front-line makers of his time whom he admired, such as Romanillos, Fleta, and Ramirez III. In particular, he learned not only practical advice on making guitars from two legendary French master craftsmen, Robert Boucher (1896-1986) and Daniel Frederiche (1932-2021), but also how to make the right tools and jigs for guitar making.
In 1985, he won first prize for "artistry" and second prize for "acoustics" at the 'Concours International des Facteurs de Guitare' in France. He became recognized as a representative of a new generation of Italian guitar makers. In 1989, he presented his most important model, the "Coclea". This model is the result of a fusion of traditional construction methods and his deep knowledge of the art of music, and has earned a special place not only in Italy, but also in the world.
In his insatiable pursuit, he later used a scientific approach to discover the secrets of Antonio de Torres' (1817-1892) guitar-making techniques, and based on this research, he created the unique "Thucea" model. Based on this research, he created the unique model "Thucea". The Thucea's sound board is a four-piece design with European spruce in the center and Western red cedar on both sides, maximizing the sound board's vibration efficiency and achieving great results in terms of both sound output and transmission.
Another important addition to the lineup was the "Omaggio" series, which paid homage to the greats of the past with models by Enrique Garcia, Francisco Simplicio, and Robert Boucher. These models have become must-have items for guitar fans because of their extremely high degree of perfection that goes beyond replicas.

[Description]
Omaggio a Robert Bouchet by Andrea Tacchi 2022 New arrival. Named "Homage to Robert Bouchet," this work is a dense piece of work that pays deep respect to this rare master craftsman, while also incorporating all of Tacchi's own artistic sensibilities and craft skills.
It is said that Julien Bream, who once held a Bouchet guitar in his hand, described it as "like a small organ". Tacchi has firmly grasped Bouchet's acoustic qualities, while adding his own unique gentleness to them, resulting in an expressive guitar. The guitar responds organically, as if it is in dialogue with the player's heartbeat (touch of the fingers).
It should also be noted that Tacchi's own modern sense modestly refines the overall sound, resulting in a work that can be used in a wide range of genres from the Renaissance to the present day.
